

Paul R. Johnson Sr., age 84, of Tucker died June 5, 2011. A devoted Catholic , husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather he will be deeply missed. The son of Cyril Ray and Katherine Marie Johnson, he was born in Valders, WI. He secured his private pilot’s license at age 16, enlisted in the U.S. Navy at age 17 during WWII, and then graduated from Miami University at Oxford, Ohio. He held executive positions with Armour Pharmaceutical and Milupa, and then had a successful real estate career in Tucker. He loved art and traveling the world. He was a talented painter, metal worker and creative artist. He was a devoted volunteer at St. Joseph’s hospital and the USO. He served faithfully as a Eucharistic Minister and usher at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Barbara, his daughter “Jacki” King and husband Hilary of Burlington, NC, and Michelle and Scott Maddox of Prosper, TX, his son Chris and wife Ree Johnson Granger, IN, and Paul R Johnson Jr., Snellville. His grand children are Ally, Drew, Katie, Lauren, Kelley, Matthew, Patrick and Megan. He is great grandfather to Madelyn, and Savanna, Joshua and Ryleigh. A visitation at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (Stone Mountain) will be Thursday at 10:00 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00am with lunch.
