Robert Franklin Jones

In February of 1957, Robert met and married the love of his life, Randall “Sue” Harris. Together they built a loving family and were blessed with three beautiful children: Robbie, Rhonda, and Randy. Their marriage was a testament to love, devotion, and family.

Robert was a man who found joy in the simple things in life. He loved reading, spending time with his family, and tinkering with anything he could get his hands on. Known for his remarkable ability to fix almost anything, Robert was admired for his hardworking nature and dependable spirit. He dedicated many loyal years of service to Decatur Glass and Mirror, where he was respected as a devoted employee and friend.

Some of Robert’s favorite pastimes included coaching softball and listening to his Blue Grass Family play music, moments that brought him great happiness and lasting memories with those he loved most.

Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sue Jones; his son, Randy Jones; his grandson, Jason Lowry; and numerous brothers and sisters.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his daughter and son-in-law, Robbie and Tim Roberts; his daughter, Rhonda Nichols, his daughter-in-law Karen Jones; his grandchildren, Samantha Lowry, Brent Jones, Walt Nichols, Cody Jones, and Emily Jones; his great-granddaughter, Olive Lowry; and his sisters, Alma Abercrombie, Betty Fogler, and Martha Enfinger.

Robert will be remembered for his loving heart, strong work ethic, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
