On Friday, March 12, 2021, Roberto Luis Javier Boffill Sanchez, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away at the age of 80. Roberto Boffill was born on December 3, 1940 in Havana, Cuba to Gilda Sanchez and Roberto Boffill. He received his degree as a biomedical engineer and worked at various hospitals in Cuba until moving to Atlanta, Georgia in 1997. On February 14, 1971, he married his loving wife, Ana D. Peralo Perez in Matanzas, Cuba. Together, they had a son.
Roberto had a passion for helping others, and always made time for friends and family. He also loved inventing objects to assist him with his work. Roberto was even recognized for an invention used to remove gallbladders in Cuba. Roberto was known for his enormous heart, infectious laugh and his kind and compassionate spirit.
Roberto is survived by his wife, Ana, his four children, Javier Boffill, Roberto Jorge Boffill Alfonso, Roberto Boffill, Alina Boffill Alfonso and five grandchildren, Lana Boffill, Olivia Boffill, Roberto Boffill, Roberto Luis Boffill Garcia and Erali Gutiérrez Boffill.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Floral Hills Funeral Home on Lawrenceville Highway at 2 o’clock p.m.
