She was born in Atlanta the daughter of the late Falworth and Dora Fitts.
Mrs. Maddox worked for many years as an employment counselor at Pace's Personnel .
She was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James E. Maddox, Sr.
Survivors include her daughter, Maxine Rosecrans of Stone Mountain; her sons and daughters-in-law, James (Carolyn) Maddox of Lilburn, and David (Pat) Maddox of Avondale Estates; her 9 Grandchildren and numerous Great and Great Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 28 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Floral Hills Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 27 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Flowers will graciously be accepted however those who wish may make donations to FODAC at www.fodac.org.
