She was a homemaker and member of Midway Baptist Church. Mrs. Meers was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Daleville, AL.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Miriam (Billy) Palmer of Stone Mountain; her sons and daughter-in law, James M. Meers of Tucker, and Tim (Erica) Meers of Stone Mountain: her grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Meers, Jamie Michelle Hannah, Travis Lee Palmer, James Meers, and Samuel Meers; her great grandchildren, Rebecca Lynn Meers, Ashley Meers, A.J. Meers, Madison Marie Meers, Adeline Shadie Meers, and Ryan Jeffrey Meers.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Floral Hills Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
