Virginia Johnson Ragsdale

Virginia Elizabeth Johnson Ragsdale, “Sis” to her family and “Ginny” to her many friends, was born in Lawrenceville, Georgia on March 23,1937. She fought valiantly against a blood disorder for four years before God called her home on August 14, 2021.

Survived by her husband of 64 years, William E. “Bill” Ragsdale, son Charles Ragsdale “Chuck” and partner Christina Hunnicutt, his son Cole Ragsdale, and daughter Chace Ragsdale, Chris’ son Logan Watson. Son-in-law and daughter John and Tammy Davis, their son Steele Davis. Son-in-law and daughter Phillip and Tessa Clark, their daughter Britta Clark.

Preceded in death by her father Noel Albert Johnson Jr, mother Ruby Estelle Kennedy, brothers Raymond Albert Johnson and Jesse Hamilton Johnson, sister Maggie Christine Johnson, sister -in-law Mary Wilkerson Johnson Dalton brother-in-laws: Charles Randall Strickland, Tony Hugh Kinney, Elmer David Brumbelow, William Randolph Jones. Nieces Cynthia Elizabeth Brinkley Johnson, Amber Lynn Davis and nephew Rodney Hamilton Johnson.

The oldest of 12, Ginny has a large extended family that loved her dearly.

Ginny is survived by: Nephew Bryan and Stacey Johnson, Mark and Lauren McKinnon, their son Parker James McKinnon, niece Ashley Gillette Johnson and her partner Robert Bush

All of her friends at First Baptist Church of Tucker and her wonderful neighbors for over 50 years in Tucker, and caregiver, Sharon Craddock.

Services will be held on Tuesday, August 17, at 2pm at the First Baptist Church of Tucker, with a visitation from 1 to 2 pm. Graveside services immediately following at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
