Alfredo passed away early Tuesday, August 21, 2018. Born in Tucson on May 23, 1932, he was one of nine children born to Miguel and Rita (Arvizu) Zamorano. Proud of his Spanish heritage, Alfredo honorable served our nation in the U.S. Army. A true renaissance man, “Mr. Z” enjoyed working on cars, being outdoors, including camping and deep-sea fishing. He was a skilled home builder, whose work will live on for decades. Alfredo was a self-taught musician who played multiple instruments.
His surviving family includes, his wife a of 62 years, Mercedes “Mercy” Zamorano; his children, Alfredo Zamorano and Dahlia "Dottie" Davis; grandchildren, Michelle Moreno, Robert Moreno, Jonathan Davis and Eric Davis; great granddaughter, Briella Davis and numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Hope Hernandez and Margaret Vargas.
A loving husband, father & hero, grandfather, brother and friend, Alfredo will be remembered as a strong, kind and gentle man, who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
