

Anastasia Maria Tsatsakis was born Anastasia Maria Kreekos in Omaha, Nebraska, on February 24, 1969. Her parents are Dr. Michael G. and Elizabeth Kreekos. She was the eldest of three daughters, Stefanie and Athanasia. She was baptized in St. John’s Greek Orthodox Church in Omaha, Nebraska, by Fr Jerry Tasikas.
Anastasia attended Westside High School in Omaha, Nebraska, from 1983 to 1987. She subsequently enrolled at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, graduating on May 9, 1992.
During a trade show in California, Anastasia met the friend of her future husband, Anastasios Tsatsakis. Her friend discovered that their names were identical and contacted Anastasios on her phone. She was able to reach him again and established a long-distance relationship between Omaha, Nebraska and Orland Park, Illinois, where Anastasios resided with his family.
On November 22, 2002, Anastasia flew to Midway Airport, Illinois and was proposed to by Anastasios Tsatsakis. They married on July 19th, 2003 at St. Constantine and St. Hellen’s in Palos Park, by Archimandrite Eugene Pappas and Father Byron Pappanicholao and began their wonderful life together. Shortly thereafter, Anastasia embarked on a new career as a realtor and healthcare broker.
Their family welcomed their son, Stelianos, in 2011, and they relocated to Vail, Arizona, in 2013. Anastasia dedicated herself to her faith, becoming the Dance Director at St. Demetrios and assuming the role of Chair for the Annual Greek Fest. She also served as a committee member, progressing to the position of Second Chair of the Pima County GOP.
Furthermore, Anastasia championed the cause of children’s rights, opposing the overreach of the government’s mandate requiring children to wear masks in classrooms a year after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. She unsuccessfully campaigned for a seat on the Vail Unified School Board.
Anastasia and her family found solace in the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church of Antioch, where she actively participated in the Antiochian Women Ministry and engaged in various events that fostered their spiritual growth. With renewed resolve, Anastasia endeavored to revive her career in real estate. However, she experienced persistent pain and difficulty with walking and breathing.
On August 15, 2025, Anastasia received a diagnosis cancer. Despite valiant efforts, Anastasia’s condition deteriorated, and she reposed in the Lord on December 29, 2025. May her Memory be Eternal.
Anastasia is survived by her husband, Anastasios Tsatsakis, and son, Stelianos Tsatsakis; parents, Michael G. and Elizabeth Kreekos (Anest); sisters, Stefanie(Konstantinos) Maiakis and Athanasia Michelle (Jason) Crowley; nephew Christian Brooks, nephew Blake Crowley, and niece Victoria Crowley.
