It is with great sadness that our family bids this extraordinary woman goodbye. Angelina (Figueroa) Soria, age 76, of Tucson, Arizona passed peacefully on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, surrounded by her four children. She is now their guardian angel.
Born on May 21, 1945 in La Barca, Jalisco, Mexico to her loving late parents, Alejandro and Agapita Figueroa. Cherished wife of Rafael G. Soria, wedded November 27, 1965. Adored mother of Maricela Soria, Rafael J. Soria, Cecilia (Soria) Adams, and David Soria. Cherished grandmother of Julia, Matthew, Elysia, Marisa, Gabriel, Isabella, Geana, and Isaac. Dearest great-grandmother of Jaxxen, Roman, Noah, and Evalina. Admired sister of Alejandro, Maria Teresa, Maria Guadalupe, Francisca, Olivia, and Javier.
Angelina was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured every moment with her children and cherished being a grandmother and a great-grandmother. She had a vivacious personality, made friends everywhere she went, and always made people smile. She was fearless and enjoyed life to the fullest. Throughout her life, she held an unwavering faith in God and devoted her life to Him and loving others.
Angelina retired from DuPage Convalescent Center in Wheaton, Illinois, where she worked as a bookkeeper. In retirement, Angelina enjoyed traveling, hiking, volunteering, and mentoring. She participated in missions trips to help women and children in Mexico and always gave to those in need. Her most recent volunteer work was for multiple women's organizations in the Tucson area.
"We think about you always, we talk about you still. You have never been forgotten, and you never will. We hold you close within our hearts, and there you will remain. To walk and guide us through our lives, until we meet again."
