Anita Majuta Carrillo

Anita Francis Majuta Carillo was born June 26, 1938, in Tucson, AZ, and passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was one of twelve siblings born to Rosa + Ramon Majuta. 

Anita was blessed with five children, Diana, Elizabeth, Edward, Oscar, and Gilbert; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

To say she will be missed is an understatement; she had an infectious personality and was always full of joy. The strength was matched only by the depth of her love for her family. 

Anita found joy in the community she built through her church, where she served as a eucharist minister. She also belonged to the Viejos Amigos Social Club and Las Damas, where she enjoyed dancing and social gatherings, as well as spending time camping outdoors with her husband and marine friends. 

She is preceded in death by her late husband, George Carrillo, Son in law Gilbert Alegria Sr, her parents Rosa & Ramon Majuta followed by her three brother and eight sisters. 

Anita is survived by her children, Diana, Oscar, Edward (Lori), Elizabeth and Gilbert, along with her grandchildren and many nieces & nephews and friends. 

Anita will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her.

A visitation for Anita will be held Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Most Holy Trinity Parish, 1300 N Greasewood Rd, Tucson, AZ 85745. A Rosary will occur Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM, 1300 N Greasewood Rd, Tucson, AZ 85745. Mass will occur Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1300 N Greasewood Rd, Tucson, AZ 85745.
