Armandina G. Figueroa, 76, passed away on March 23, 2026. She was born on March 21, 1950, in La Paloma, Texas, and lived a life defined by strength, resilience, and deep love for her family and community.
Armandina was known for her unwavering support of those around her. She had a kind and generous spirit, always willing to help others and offer guidance whenever it was needed. She found great joy in connecting with people and sharing stories, especially her love for Tucson—its history, its culture, and the memories she built there.
She dedicated approximately 40 years of her career to the Arizona Department of Economic Security. She truly loved her job and found purpose in helping others, which reflected her compassionate nature and commitment to service.
Above all, Armandina was a devoted mother and the heart of her family. Her strength, love, and presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Melissa Chatlaong, and her beloved granddaughter, Sofia Chatlaong.
A celebration of life will be held at South Lawn Cemetery in Tucson, Arizona.
Armandina will be remembered for her strength, her kindness, and the lasting impact she made on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
