Arnulfo "Fito" Sagasta Valdez, 82, of Tucson, AZ, passed away on April 21, 2026. Arnulfo was born on August 31, 1943, in Cananea, Sonora, Mexico. He married Thelma Dolores Burroughs on January 21, 1964. Arnulfo was a dedicated worker with a career in construction and mechanics. He had a passion for boxing, loved dancing with his wife, and took great pride in caring for his family. Upon retirement, he enjoyed spending time with friends at the park and reminiscing about the good ole days with his family.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Alicia Lee Valdez; his parents, Adelina Sagasta and Arnulfo Valdez; and his brother, Heriberto "Beto" Valdez. He is survived by his wife, Thelma; his sister, Gloria (Placido) Urias; his children, Tony, Jaime (Elizabeth), Rene "Memo" (Stacy), Robert "Bobby", Leticia "Lety", Val, and James "Chino" (Jailene); as well as eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Funeraria Del Angel South Lawn at 5401 S. Park Ave Tucson, Arizona 85706. Visitation Wednesday, April 29, 2026 4:00 PM ~ 10:00 PM. Services, Thursday, April 30 2026 8:00 AM ~ 12:30 PM. Burial to follow at South Lawn Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
