Barbara Anne Cassidy (1960 to 2020) passed peacefully on January 16, 2020. A recent resident of Tucson, Barbara was born in her beloved city of San Francisco. A precocious tot, she thrived on constant chatter from her mother. Soon she had younger siblings on whom she practiced her powers of persuasion. While extremely smart, Barbara always worked very hard on her studies and took great pride in that discipline. Her mother and father were extremely proud when Barbara graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Mass Communications.
Barbara’s marketing career began in politics and eventually specialized in media technology. Her career blossomed at both Fortune 500 companies and Silicon Valley startups. Barbara was a success and looked the part. She was born with a great sense of style and enjoyed following the latest fashion trends. She would never leave the house without looking like a million bucks.
Barbara simply devoured books of all kinds. She had a very curious mind and loved to travel both on and off the map. She was fluent in Spanish and learned in other languages. She was greatly influenced by spiritual studies of other cultures. Barbara was world conscious and gave generously to charities both at home and abroad.
Barbara will be greatly missed by her large extended family and her many cherished friends. She is survived by her sister, Patricia, and preceded in death by her brother Michael, and her parents Paul and Marianne Cassidy.
