Betty Ann Moon

Betty Ann was born in Mankato, MN to Rose and Christopher Anderson. Married Darrell L. Moon from Lake Crystal MN on April 14, 1951, 62 years ago. She lived a beautiful life with her immediate family; Brother Norbert and wife Dorothy Anderson, Brother Marvin and wife Kathleen Anderson, Brother-in-law Lavern and Sister Phyllis Kopischke, Brother-in-law Tom and Sister Lois Reynolds.

Betty Ann had six children; Carla Sevedge, Calvin (deceased), Randy, Bryan (deceased), Timothy and Anthony. Ten Grandchildren; Monica (Sevedge) Class, Jessica Moon, Autumn Ambrogi, Christopher Moon, Natasha Moon, Shannon Scrogham, Jenine Moon, Timothy J. Moon, Sarah Moon, Jordan Moon. Seven Great-Grandchildren; Brandon Class, Cheyenne Class, Lochlan Ambrogi, Marcus Moon, Isaiah Moon, David Bell , Kaleb Scrogham, Alex Scrogham, Mason Moon, Rylee Moon. Joining her family was Sherman Lee Sevedge, Kathy Moon, Angela Moon and Shaun Scrogham.

After graduating from Mankato High School Betty Ann worked as a telephone operator for a short time until she met the man of her dreams, her future husband, Darrell Moon. She soon excelled as a homemaker with her cleaning, ironing and her cooking and baking for all her babies to come. Betty Ann and her husband Darrell owned two drive thru restaurants in Mankato, Minnesota; Hilltop Drive In and the Oasis Drive In where she spent many summer months behind the counter. For 24 years she was a bookkeeper for Metro Oil Corporation in Tucson. Retirement wasn’t in the cards for very long before the happy couple bought the AAA Pet Lodge in Southwest Tucson. She loved animals but particularly dogs and cats. As a child her favorite dog was a Sheltie named Shep. She was never without a dog or a cat in her home for very long.

Betty Ann gave a Mother’s love unconditionally. She always thought the best of her children and grandchildren. She stood by them even when they went through tuff times. She will be missed terribly but her family will only have loving memories of her.
