Cecilia Mary Margaret McMahon Hammarstrom a bright young Irish lass and the eldest of five lovely "Queens," born May 15, 1921 to James McMahon and Margaret Toppen, skipped over the hills to join her husband, Everett Hammarstrom; sisters, Eileen, Rita, and Mary Ellen, and girlfriend, Margie just a bit after gathering up her St. Paddy's Day kisses, in the early morning March 18, 2010. Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, our sweet and special Ceil grew to love Tucson when she moved her family from Chicago in 1955. A Wildcat to the core, Ceil served St. Joseph's Catholic Daughters and ESA Sorority for many years and gave tirelessly to benefit her less fortunate brothers and sisters. Survived by her sons, James (Diane), Thomas (Marilyn) and David (Luz); daughters, Gail (William), Diane (Mark) and Nancy; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation and Rosary 5:00 -8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 23, 2010, EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL. Funeral Services at St. Joseph Church, 215 South Craycroft Rd. Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. with Committal Service to follow at East Lawn Cemetery.
