

Charlene Dufresne, A loving wife, mother and successful business owner, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on May 25th 2025 at the age of 68. She was born on February 17, 1957 in Cheboygan, Michigan and was a longtime resident of Tucson, Arizona.
Char is survived by her husband Melvin Byrd, her son Joshua (Kelly) Dufresne, step-son’s, Antoine (Erin) Byrd. Marvin Byrd. Grandkids, Brinnae and Brady Shavrnoch, Brendan and Lincoln Byrd. Sister in law’s Deborah Williams, Carol (Larry) Lancelin, Patricia Prater. Many nieces and nephews and loyal employees.
Preceding her in death is her parents Merlin Helmer, Barbara Miller and, step-father’s Robert Miller and James Steinka, sisters Colleen Hull and Barbara Goodman, brother-in-law Melvin Williams.
She was a dedicated business owner, operating Copper Rose Reality and Copper Rose community management in Tucson, Arizona for 20 years. She poured her heart and soul into the business, building a reputation for helping those in need and always willing to take a chance on the impossible. Words often fall short when trying to capture the depth of love, compassion, and strength that Char brought into the lives of everyone who knew her.
She was known for her love of shoes, and her collection was a testament to her unique style and personality.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 10:30 am at East Lawn Palm Mortuary 5801 E Grant Road Tucson, AZ 85712.
