Tucson, AZ- On July 19, 2021 Clint Cole was welcomed into eternity by his savior Jesus Christ; ready to “inherit the kingdom that was prepared for him from the foundation of the world” Matt. 25:34 His long battle with cancer is over and by God’s grace he now knows the freedom and joy of being in the very presence of Jesus. Truly he “fought the good fight, & finished his race, and kept the faith.” (2Tim 4:7)
Clint was born February 3, 1970 at Holy Redeemer Hospital in Huntingdon Valley, PA. Shortly after his parents, Duncan & Anna Cole moved their family out west to Colorado. Clint spent several years growing up in CO, before the family moved back to Kempton, PA. He graduated high school in 1988 from the Academy of the New Church in PA. His love of the mountains out west pulled him back to attend college at Northern Arizona University. Clint has always loved the adventure of the outdoors. As a young man, if he wasn’t working on his family’s farm, training for HS wrestling or lacrosse, you would often find him spending his time snow skiing, river kayaking, hiking, rock climbing & rappelling, or biking the untamed mountains of Arizona. He loved the American west, it’s beautiful mountains and of course that’s where he met & married his wife, Erin. They were married on July 24, 1993. Clint graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree in 1994. In the years that followed Clint was blessed with three wonderful children and an exciting career as a Senior Test Engineer; designing, & testing missile defense systems for the US Army as well as a contractor with Raytheon Missile Systems. He loved his career and took great pride in knowing he was assisting our military men & women in the field to defend themselves and protect our nation. He looked forward to his days at the proving grounds (blowing things up) in Yuma, White Sands NM, and even at Boforsverken, Sweden. On March 29, 2001 he accepted Christ as his Savior & later was baptized with his son Braeden in 2015. His most cherished title was that of Papa. He adored being Papa to his children and spending time with them. There were many fun trips camping, hiking, adventures at the shore, and backyard pool parties over the years. He loved participating and encouraging them in their sports & extracurriculars. He’d often be up late at night helping them with their academics, reading together, & singing songs before bedtime. Some of his fondest memories were coaching PRCA Lion’s football, game nights, having devotions, and family vacations introducing the kids to his love of hiking or kayaking.
Clint will always be remembered for the life he led as kind, gentle, courageous, intentional, thoughtful and ever faithful. He had a servant’s heart and would help anyone in need. He was a loyal friend, trusted brother & son, devoted Papa and a loving husband. Our lives will be incomplete without him, yet we celebrate his home-going as we are certain Jesus greeted him saying, “Well done, good & faithful servant…Enter into the joy of your lord.” Matt 25:23
Clint is survived by his wife Erin, their children, his mother, his siblings, many nieces and nephews as well as extended family & friends: Rob & Shania Crespin, Tegan Cole, Braeden Cole, Anna Cole-Volden, Cade & Caelwen Cole, Brett & Karla Buick, and Brent & Michelle Cole. He was predeceased in death by his father, Duncan P. Cole.
