Christina Phillips Hanson passed away painlessly and peacefully on April 17, 2025. She was born on October 17, 1950, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Charles A. Phillips and Maria del Carmen Romero. Moving from Texas to Tucson in the late 1950’s, Christina was a graduate of Salpointe Catholic High School and a proud resident of her desert home.
Over the years, Chris worked primarily in transport as a driver of buses, limousines, and tractor-trailers. She had a passion for building things, and a keen eye for detail. She spoke fondly of her vacation road trips to Ensenada in Baja Mexico.
Chris is survived by her four children and two grandchildren; Carmen (Laird), John, Veronica (Erwin), Trevor, Grayson (Jessi), and Leon. She is also survived by her three siblings, Chuck, Camille, and Connie as well as the entire Burruel Umbrella.
