

He was born to the late Ennis and Ruby Collier June 28, 1938 in Anadarko, OK. Don proudly served in the Marine Corps from November 23, 1955 to November 22, 1961. He married the late Darleth Mae Collier July 21, 1973.
After Donal separated from the Marine Corps he began his career in construction and favored carpentry, and worked his early years in Oklahoma. He relocated to Tucson and began his new career at the Asarco mines until he retired. He enjoyed working with his hands and tinkering with all sorts of items. He was an accomplished story teller. He loved to tell everyone and anyone about his adventures and was always there to offer his advice.
Don is preceded by his son Steven Collier, brother Dell Collier and sister Willie Thomas.
He is survived by his children Ramona Knapp, Steven’s widow Betty Cannaday, Suzanne and Sabrina Collier, sons Harold Johnston, Bruce and wife Sue Johnston. Sisters Nan Mitcham and Floris Weber. Grandchildren Alexander and Katherine Knapp, Billy Collier and wife Mary, Crystal and husband Michael spillers, Liliana Lore Lai Kale, Dawnmarie and Victor Garcia, Kristen Cronin, Harold Johnston Jr, Felicia Copp, Roger Howell, Connie Johnston and Karrie Custer. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, 5/14/15 at Funeraria Del Angel South Lawn, 5401 S Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706, followed by interment at South Lawn Cemetery. www.funerariadelangelsl.com
