JENKINS, Dorothy R., 99, of Tucson, passed away on June 7, 2011. Survivors include children, Charles Jr. (Helene), Philip (Betsy) and Gary; one granddaughter, Ami; plus many other loving relatives and friends. Born November 6, 1911 in Winona Lake, IN, Dorothy became a commercial pilot and flight instructor, instructing in the Civilian Pilot Training Program prior to WWII. She continued flying while raising a family and was an active member of the International 99's Women's Flying Organization. A gathering of friends will be held at EAST LAWN PALMS CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd., on Monday, June 13, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 8545 N. Silverbell Rd., Tucson, AZ 85743.
