Dorothy was born in Hinsdale, IL on January 8, 1928 to Jacob and Flora Spannagel. As a young woman, she worked for the railroad. She married Erwin Tucek and had four children. She raised her family in Illinois until she moved to Tucson in 1976 and worked for Mountain Bell. In 1986, she transferred to A T & T where she lived in San Antonio until she retired in the early 90s and moved back to Tucson. In retirement, she resided at Trails West for many years and enjoyed her senior clubs and playing card games with her many friends. For the past 6 years, she had been in long-term care. Dorothy preceded in death by her son, Kevin, brothers Howie, Harold, and Kenny. Survived by her children Terry, David and LeAnn, grandchildren Sherina, Shayna and Brandon and her great grandchildren Lexi and Aaron and many nieces and nephew. She was a truly kind, loving person and an inspiration to her family and friends.

Dorothy’s Celebration of Life will be held at Udall Park 7200 E. Tanque Verde Rd. Ramada #1 on February 17, 2024 at 1PM.
