He was born in Plymouth, Michigan, November 8th 1933, the Son of Edwin and Zelah Goebel.He attended Plymouth High School and received hisMasters of Human Resources from Central Michigan University.
He retired from General Motors as Senior Administrator in 1992 after 40 years of dedicated service. Ed was active in local theater, church choirs andperformed the National Anthem for the Arizona Diamondbacks.An avid outdoor enthusiast, his passions included running, biking, hiking and travel.
Edis survived by his wife of 60 years Jean Elliott Goebel; Brothers Gordon and Dave;Son Greg, Daughter Linda; 3 Grand Children, Bryan, Megan and Ryan and 1 Great Grandchild, Ryker.
Memorial services are pending in Tucson, Arizona and Romeo, Michigan.
