Eileen was born in Manhattan, the third of four children of Irish immigrants Philip and Jane McKinney Farley. Eileen first met Walter Cunniff at her best friend’s wedding in 1946. In 1948, Walter and Eileen were married at St. Bartholomew’s Church in Elmhurst, New York. Eileen raised five children in Elmhurst. In 1973, the family moved to Tucson. Eileen maintained her wit and gracious tenacity to the very end. She was an inspiration to those around her in the love and care she showed in all things great and small.
Eileen is survived by her brother, Francis Farley of Chico, California, her sons, Thomas of Kensington, California, Philip, his wife Carole, and their daughter Jessica of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, Edward and Kevin of Tucson, and her daughter Teresa of San Francisco, California.
