Evangelina L Carpio, age 76, of Tucson, Arizona passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023. Evangelina was born in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico to Filomena Mendivil Leon and Jose Andres Leon. She was preceded in death by her husband Manuel D Carpio, married for 38 years; her father Jose Andres Leon and her mother Filomena Mendivil Leon. She is survived by her daughters Marina Contreras (Martin), Lillian Orduño (Pedro), and Laura Carpio (Rafael Ortiz); her brother Joe Leon (Diana), her sister Irma Lopez (Frank), her brother Rueben Leon (Gay) and her brother Arnulfo Leon (Rosa); her grandchildren Danitza Beltran (Edgar), Leyla Orduño (Angel), Alexis Contreras, Juan Orduño, Leah Orduño, Angelina Contreras and Raphael Ortiz. She loved doing crafts, painting, going to the casino, and playing cards with family. Evangelina will be greatly missed and will be remembered forever.
A visitation for Evangelina will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706. A rosary will occur Tuesday, December 26, 2023 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706. A visitation will occur Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 8:00 AM to 9:20 AM, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Monica Roman Catholic Parish, 212 W Medina Rd, Tucson, AZ 85756. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706.
