

He graduated from Pueblo High School, and received his Associates Degree at Pima Community College. He later met, and married Gloria Meranza, Federico had a career for 22 years in the U.S. Army, where he later retired and continued working as a Corrections Officer at the Pima County Jail, Security at Raytheon and Wackenhut.
During his time in the U.S. Army he was an advocate and participant with the Latino American Club in West Berlin Germany. He was very passionate about music; specifically playing the guitar, piano, trumpet, and Accordion.
He is preceded in death by Gloria Mendoza, and his parents Celestino and Julia Mendoza; and several other loving family members.
He is survived by his children and grandchildren: Son, Javier (Luci), and grandsons Armando and Diego. His daughter, Elsa (Luis), and granddaughter Isabella.
A visitation for Federico will be held Monday, August 5, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706. A rosary will occur Monday, August 5, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Saint Monica Roman Catholic Parish Church, 212 W Medina Rd, Tucson, AZ 85756. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at South Lawn Cemetery, 5401 S Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706.
