Felicia Ann De Witt, age 94 of Tucson, Arizona, passed on March 30th, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Felicia was born on December 21st, 1929 to Rolla Mitchell and Eva Kirby, both of whom have preceded her in passing.
Felicia was further preceded in passing by her beloved husband of over 50 years, Floyd De Witt, whom she rejoins now in eternal glory, alongside two of their children Michael Dean DeWitt, and Vicki Dewitt-Nelson. Felicia was the matriarch of a large and loving family, and she and Floyd are survived by three of their children, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Professionally, Felicia worked in record keeping for Kino Hospital for many years, before becoming an in-home caregiver following her retirement. She worked as a caregiver until she was 86 years old herself.
Felicia was a member of the Tucson Baptist Church, and was a woman of great faith. She shared this faith with her family, nurturing her children, grandchildren, and many great grandchildren with love and kindness. There was little she treasured more than time spent with her family, or caring for others. Felicia had a full heart and bright spirit, which she loved to share with the world.
When she wasn't giving back to her community, at church, or with her family, Felicia could be found with a book in her lap or a crochet hook in her hands, completing many projects over the years; just as each stitch created texture, every project carries a piece of her heart, love infused into every loop.
Felicia touched many hearts over her life, and will be dearly missed by all those who had the good fortune to know her, even if just for a moment. She will be deeply mourned by her family, and her memory will be cherished in their hearts.
