Fernando Youngo Diaz 8/22/1929 - 11/27/2012 Born in Tucson, AZ. Fernando graduated from Tucson High School. Serviced in the USA Army and retired from the US Postal Service with about 40 years of service. Fernando was one of the first members of the Pyramid Credit Union for Postal workers and was a very proud member since its inception. In the early morning hours of November 27, 2012, the Angels came and took Fernando by the hand and took him home to Heaven. He lost a short battle to cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Jimenez Diaz and Concepcion Maria Youngo. Fernando is survived by his lifelong friend, Mary; sister, Herminia Ortega; sons, Fernando Carlos, Victor Emmanuel, Javier Martin and Dario Alfredo Diaz; daughters, Diana Maria Phillips (Scott Cole) of Florida and Emelia Magdalena (Paul) Wendorf of Tucson; grandchildren, Louie III, Victoria Santana Pallanes, Mario Emmanuel, Fernando Diaz Jr. and Cristina Iule Diaz and her mother, Denise (Patty) Iule of Grants, New Mexico; dear friends, Hoyt Phillips and Delphina Ramirez and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
