Fernando Villa

Fernando Villa, age 86, of Tucson, Arizona passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. Fernando was born on August 27th, 1937 in Cascabel Arizona to Francisco Villa and Matilde Villa, both of whom preceded their son in passing. Fernando was one of eight children, all born at home to Matilde; he is survived by his brother Frank and his sisters Carmen and Bertha, and is preceded in passing by his sisters Aurelia, Mary Louise, and Virginia and his brother Arthur.

Fernando is survived by the love of his life, his beloved spouse Marva Villa, with whom he shared 55 years of matrimony. He rejoins his children Michael and Connie now in looking over Marva, and his children Leslie, Joyce, Michelle, and Fernando the younger.

Fernando was a proud U.S. Army veteran, having served his country when he was called upon. After his service he spent many years working for the parks and recreation department of the city of Tucson, before his retirement.

There was little Fernando loved more than time spent with his wife, their children, and his siblings. He comes from a close family with a strong foundation of providing for his children what he himself could not have. He was a man of great strength and humility, who always put others first whenever he could.

Fernando's memory will be carried in the hearts of his devoted family who survive him, and all those who had the honor to know him in his life.

A graveside funeral and military honors for Fernando will be held Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at External Service Location, 5401 S Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706.
