

Frederick William Bair, 60, was born on February 2, 1957 in Tucson, Arizona. Fred passed away on April 14, 2017 and is preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Bair; brother, Frank Bair and his two wonderful dogs, Zoey and Kitabear. Fred spent his entire life in Tucson and was a graduate of Rincon High School. He had an extensive career working with the Tucson Fire Department as well with the Sheriff’s Department. His positions included maintenance and engineer work on fire trucks as well as Captain for the TFD. In 2011, Fred was recognized for his bravery during a fire call at a residence where he was able to rescue a woman from her home. This was just one of the many brave moments he encountered during his career with the fire department. Fred truly loved what he did, including any and all things related to fire trucks and had a unique interest in collecting flashlights. He was passionate about what he did for the community and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone. Fred was loved and known by so many in Tucson and will be truly missed. He is survived by his father, Frederick (Rhonda) Bair Sr.; daughters, Allison and Madeline Bair; sister, Maryann (Steve) Voevodsky; niece, Hanna Voevodsky and sister-in-law, Joyce Bair.
