Gale attended the University of Arizona in the sixties and went on to a broadcast writing career which culminated as Director of Public Relations for the ABC network in New York.
In 1977 her love of the Southwest compelled her to terminate a successful business career and return to Tucson where she taught herself to paint in acrylics and watercolor.
Gale's career was marked by her passion and talent. Specializing in desert and Southwestern-inspired paintings, she captured the essence of Native American life, Sonora Desert flora, and scenic beauty. Gale lived at the base of the Catalina Mountains with her husband Frank for over 40 years.
She was also an accomplished pianist, having played since childhood, plus Gale's faith was an integral part of her life.
Gale passed away on September 26th, 2023, in Tucson, Arizona and a graveside memorial service was held at the cemetery to honor and remember her. Many of her old friends attended and spoke of their personal relationship with her.
She is survived by her brother Hakim Chishti of Carlsbad, CA.
Gale will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
