

Gary Lee Clifford, a cherished resident of Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully at his home on January 21, 2026, at the age of 85. He was born on July 11th, 1941, in Saint David, Arizona. He attended Pueblo High School in Tucson, where he excelled as an accomplished athlete across various sports.
Gary was passionate about fastpitch softball and was honored with an induction into the Arizona State Softball Hall of Fame for his outstanding contributions to the sport. In addition to the athletic achievements, Gary founded and ran successful electronics business, demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication.
Gary had a passion for horsemanship, horse racing, horse breeding, and rodeo. In his later years, he found joy playing golf, welding, and frequenting Dairy Queen.
Gary is survived by his loving companion, Julia Reynolds; his children, Scott Clifford, Kathy Copeland, Kelly Myrdal, Terri Lee Montano, and BJ Clifford; and 17 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rebecca Clifford; his son Brent Lee Clifford; his parents, Rose Mary Busby clifford and Alfred Angus Clifford; and his siblings, Ethel, Betty, Floyd, Harvey, and Clinton.
A celebration of Gary's life will be held on Saturday February 14th, 2026, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 6150 E Fairmont St. Tucson, Arizona. There will be a family gathering at 9:15 am with services beginning at 10:00 am.
Family and friends are invited to attend and share memories of a remarkable man who touched the live of so many.
