Gayle Sims

It breaks our heart that Gayle Sims passed away Friday, June 14th, 2024. She was surrounded by a priest, 2 deacons, friends and family. She transitioned to heaven very peacefully with everyone singing songs and saying her favorite prayers. She was born in Farmington, Maine on September 22, 1942, but was in AZ for the past 52 years.

Her life goal was to travel the world. It makes our hearts happy that she fulfilled that dream. The amazing thing is she did it unselfishly. She accomplished it through creating pilgrimages taking hundreds of people over the years to the Holy Land and other spiritual places.

Our mom dedicated her life to her store JMJ Ministries and touched SO many lives in the 35 years she had her store open. Although her family will miss her, her church and ministry family will miss her as well, but we all know she is still with us as looking down from heaven and guiding us.

Sunday, July 14th 2024 at South Lawn Funeral Home - 5401 South Park Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85706

6:00pm - 7:00pm public viewing

7:00pm - 8:00pm rosary/prayer.

8:00pm - 9:00pm continuation of public viewing

Monday July 15th 2024 at South Lawn Funeral Home - 5401 South Park Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85706

8:00 - 9:00am morning viewing

10:00am - 11:00am Funeral mass will be held at Santa Cruz Church - 1220 South 6th Avenue.

11:00am - 11:30am escorts to lead procession to South Lawn Cemetery for final resting place.

We will have a Celebration of Life reception from 1:00pm - 5:00pm at her favorite restaurant The Kettle Restaurant - 748 West Starr Pass Boulevard Tucson, AZ 85713.
