Geneva Hare

Geneva Hare was born to the parentage of R.T. Dunn and Gencie Bailey on May 19, 1934, in Dallas, Texas; but C.D. Hollis was her father figure. She was the middle child of her siblings, sister Tildeen Madden and brother John Dunn (J.T.).

She attended and graduated from the Dallas Public School system in Texas.

On May 21, 1954, she united in marriage to Nathaniel Hare in Texas. During their union she gave birth to nine children Jesse, Emery, Calvin, Adrienne, Vernon, Bridgett, Pamela, Brant and Bryan (twin boys), and she was a beloved, proud mother and wife.

She was homemaker in the early years as she was a devoted mother and wife who always took care of her family. She worked at St. Joseph’s hospital for many years where she gained many friends.

Geneva entered into rest and began her journey home peacefully on October 7, 2021 and was escorted by angels into heaven. She was preceded in death by her parents C.D. Hollis and Gencie Bailey, her husband (Nathaniel Hare), daughter (Bridgett Piech) and grandson Michael Piech.

She leaves behind her brother John Dunn and wife Carolyn, sister Tildeen Madden, eight adult children Jesse, Vernon, Calvin, Emery, Adrienne, Pam, Brant and Bryan: grandchildren, Jennifer Piech, Dimitri Hare, Teresa Young, Keisha Young, Bryan Milberg, Darrian Romero Hare, great grandchildren, Damir Romero, Tracey Bacon, Ruth Milberg, Gus Milberg, Frank Milberg, Jamea Young, Skylar Young, Hannah Chastain, Lillie Chastain, Audrey Chastain, Valerie Chastain, and Olivia Chastain. She is survived by a host of relatives, extended family and dear friends.

As we journey together celebrating the life of our beloved Geneva Hare, may we be reminded that You hold our days in Your hands. You know and understand the moments of our lives; the times to be born, the times to die, the times to plant, and the times to uproot. We thank you for your everlasting love for us each and every day. The gift of Geneva, our Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Aunt, and Friend, will forever be etched in our hearts.
