

Glenn Robert Johnson went to be with the Lord June 16, 2014. He is survived by his sons Danny Johnson, Gary Harland, Greg Harland, John Johnson, and daughters Suzanne Putzier and Jane Stone. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Johnson and Mary Killian, brothers, Rex and Ralph Johnson and sisters, Maxine Johnson, Norma Swintor, and Dorothy Volts.
Glenn was born on April 20, 1921 in Sikeston, Missouri to Sidney and Mary Johnson. He served in World War II as a radio operator aboard a troop transport ship in the Pacific. Later, on December 10, 1960, Glenn married his wife Cleda in Red Bluff, California.
Glenn’s career through the years included nearly 40 years in the FAA followed by 9 years as an employee of Mesa County School District #51. Over the years, he resided in Arizona, California, and Colorado. Glenn and Cleda returned to Arizona 18 years ago. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Glenn’s life will be held at Funeraria Del Angel, 7 E. University Blvd., Tucson, Arizona, 85705, on Tuesday, June 24, 2014. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. followed by the service at 11 a.m. Burial will be at South Lawn Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
