On July 31st 2020 The Lord ended Gloria’s courageous and hard fought battle with an unexpected illness and took her home to Paradise. She is reunited with loved ones who preceded her in death including her father Guadalupe Granillo and mother Elvira Granillo, husband Frank O. Manzanedo, daughter Leticia B. Manzanedo and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews as well as many friends. She is survived by her 2 brothers, Danny and Benji (Kathy) and her sister Dora (Robert) as well as her 3 children, Frank M. (Anna), Anna Lisa (Richard) and Gilbert, as well as grandchildren Thomas, Clinton, Jacob, Emmanuel, Conrad (Andrea), Monique, Isabelle, Alexis, Anthony, Lazette, Leticia, Thomas, Matthew, Richard, Giuliana and Joseph, and great grandchildren Santiago, Emius, baby Anthony, Senise, Julissa, baby Emmanuel, Marisis, Ilyanna, Emma and Gianna. Gloria was a wonderful woman with a beautiful soul and a heart of gold. She loved to dance any chance she could and always had a smile to share with anyone around her. She was always fun to be around, with her quick wit and easy laughter she could brighten any day. Her love for the Dallas Cowboys was second only to her unshakeable faith in God which guided her path in life. She was warm and welcoming, and had achieved the inner peace in her spirit that most of us strive to find. Gloria was active in her community as well. She, along with her husband Frank, were instrumental in bringing improvements to her neighborhood as leaders of the Silvercroft neighborhood association. She was a part of the Pima County Interfaith Council, she worked with Saint Margaret’s Altar boys group, and supported Frank’s work with the Saint Vincent de Paul society as well as the Knights of Columbus. Gloria was a graduate of Amphi High School and went on to earn an Associate’s degree. She had a fulfilling career at the University of Arizona. After 25 years she retired to care for her ailing husband who passed in 2016. Gloria will be greatly missed by family and friends alike. She was admired by many and loved by all who knew her. Her family includes many additional “kids” she picked up along the way. Many longtime friends of her children and grandchildren became her children as well and all of her children are ever so blessed to have been able to call her “Mom”.

My Dearest Sister
I do not even know how to put in words my feelings of sorrow. I think of you and I remember growing up together going to school together, having to attend dances so you could go, getting old enough to enjoy the dances that we went to, being in your and the Compa Franks wedding, watching as your family and mine grew, watching our kids grow up and having children of their own. Sooo many memories of us growing up that they swirl in my mind since this virus took you unexpectedly. I remember the trips that we had intended to go on and the fun we were going to have. I wouldn't trade the memories of our lives together from the time we were growing to the times we were watching our families grow. I will miss you, nobody know how much because they did not walk the walk we did. The one thing that I do know, you left us on this world, but you will never leave our hearts, you will be remembered as you were and lived the life you did, hiding your pain, enjoying the good times and making the best of all situations no matter what came at you. To one the strongest women I ever had the pleasure to share life with, I will always love you dear sister and you will never leave my heart. Our Dios will now watch over you while you watch over us. I hope we can make you proud, say hellos to our mother and father along with all the others that have preceded in death that is our family.
With All My Love
Your Brother Danny

Manzanedo family,

My deepest condolences to you all, I loved Mrs. Manzanedo like one of my Tia's. Growing up in the St. Margaret's Church Community and serving as an alter boy with Gilbert, I was very familiar with both your parents. It break's my heart to hear of her passing but as her obituary says her faith was very strong and I know our Lord welcomed her home with open arms. I pray you all can find peace in your hearts and you're all in my prayers and thoughts.

Gloria, I first met you at Lisa and Richard’s wedding. I had just moved to Tucson . My dad hadn’t married your sister Dora yet. My mom had passed away few years before that . My heart was closed. I didn’t want change, I didn’t want to move on , and I wasn’t ready to forgive my dad . Then you welcomed me into your home and were always smiling. We would come over for parties and hang out And I always felt welcome. I remember going to bars with Dad , Dora, Randall and Leticia. We had so much fun. I started to heal and forgive. Your kindness and grace over the years has blessed and touched so many . The love you had for your kids and everyone in general. You were so strong and so much to so many . I cannot come to say goodbye. I apologize . Thank you for including me and my sisters in your family. Rest In Peace. I love you . #I promise I will get up and dance .

I met Gloria over 20 years ago. She always had a smile on her face. At the University of Arizona she did her part. When we would talk to each other after we retired it seemed like time stood still. My heart and prayers go out the family. I know she is having fun with Letice and Frank in heaven especially dancing away.

Gloria was phenomenal, not just as a co-worker but as a person. You always felt as if you were the most important person she
was talking to, even though you were likely one of many people she was helping out. Her smile and warm personality are burned into my memory and I am better for it. My sympathies to her friends and family.

Gloria endured so much, but never let her own pain stop her from moving forward and helping everyone she met along the way, as she protected her family, served her community, and showed us how to live a loving and purposeful life. I am forever grateful for all she taught me. Sending love and light to her, and all who loved her, for the journey ahead.
