With broken hearts, we share the passing of Gonzalo Humberto Ibarra, our beloved husband and father, who left this world on February 5th, 2026, at the age of 56.
He was the center of our family—the steady presence we leaned on, the voice that calmed us, the arms that made everything feel safe. As a husband, he loved deeply and faithfully. As a father, he gave everything he had, always putting his children before himself, teaching them strength, honesty, and love by the way he lived.
Gonzalo (Chalo), had a heart that carried more than he ever showed. He worked hard, cared fiercely, and loved without conditions. His laughter filled our home, and even in quiet moments, his presence was felt. He had a way of making ordinary days meaningful just by being there.
He is survived by his wife, Monica M. Ibarra and his children, Roman Gonzalo and Benjamin Carlos, who were his greatest pride and purpose. He also leaves behind Rosalina Fontes (mother) Luis Ibarra(brother), Marcela and Cristina Ibarra (sisters), Ernesto Torres, Michael Torres and Matthew Torres (brother in laws) nephews Rebecca, Maria Fernanda, Cristian Antonio, Luisa Sofia, Victor Alan and many friends who became family along the way.
Life will never be the same without him. His absence is felt in every room, every memory, every moment we wish we could share one more conversation, one more laugh, one more “I love you.” Though our hearts ache, we carry him forward in the values he taught us, the love he gave us, and the family he built.
We will love you always. We will miss you forever. And we will honor you in how we live, every single day.
A 9:30 rosary and 10:00 Mass will be held on Saturday, February 14th, 2026 at Our Lady of the Valley Parish in GreenValley Az. (505 N La Cañada Dr, Green Valley, AZ
