

He was born on August 1, 1928 in town Avdarma, Republic of Moldova and former USSR to parents Elik Tselnik and Feiga Malamand. He was the middle of three brothers - Leva, him and Semen. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Nekhoma Tselnik, and his daughter Faina Tselnik of Las Vegas (husband Alex Kiyantsev), as well as, by his niece Eugenia Tselnik of Acre, Israel and nephew Ilia Tselnik of Tel Aviv, Israel as well as nephew Petr Tselnik of Odessa, Ukraine. He was caring and protective Grandpa to his granddaughter Anna Kiyantseva of San Francisco.
As a young boy he survived 2nd Great War 1941-45, Holocaust and enlisted early as military tank operator and spent 4 years in the army; worked on the farms; completed two undergraduate degrees in Engineering - Electrical and Power Stations. When asked, why the second, he replied - it was interesting.
In the final 20 years of the career, his main focus was the nuclear power plants all over Soviet Union.
When he moved to United States, at the age of 69, he learned English; at 75 - computers, at 80 - tablets and phones and at 90 became social media fan with Instagram and YouTube accounts.
Grigoriy is remembered as light, kind, tactful deep thinker with many interests and graceful soul. He had a subtle sense of humor and great love for sports and exercise.
Grisha lived with strong sense of purpose and devotion to his family and friends - his smile shined upon anyone in need of support and help.
