

Arizona. He was one of 11 children born to Forrest and Alvina (Papineau) Berno,
Born and raised in Northfield and Waterbury, Vermont. Married Betty Stevens in 1961, they later divorced .
They were blessed with four children; Tammy, Connie, Steven and Cherie. Tammy (Lewis) McCoy and sons,
Christopher and Nicholas (Megan) live in Tucson, Arizona. Connie (Tim) Jarry live in North Carolina. Her
two children are Melissa and Eric (Shannon) Berry. Steven lives in Barre, Vermont. Cherie Berno (Ron
Walbridge) and two daughters, Brittany and Christina Benoir live in Northfield, Vermont. Harlan also has 11
great grandchildren and two great great grandsons.
Harlan moved to Tucson, AZ in 1972 to be with his parents and six of his siblings living in Arizona where he
spent the remainder of his life. Having worked at the Northfield Wood Products Mill in Vermont and as
custodian in both Vermont and Arizona.
On January 15, 1994 he married Edna Scott. She died February 12, 2014.
Predeceased by parents and siblings; Wendell (Irene) Berno, Jean (Leo) Hebert, Madeline (Mike) Bussino, Marie
(Leonard) Davis, Cecil, Norman, Kermit Berno, and brother n’law, Harold Doney and sister n’law, Lola (Ronny)
Berno. Surviving siblings are Janice Doney in Northfield, Vermont, Darrell (Linda) Berno in Tucson, Arizona,
and Ronny Berno in Tennessee, and sister n’laws, Frances (Kermit Berno) Alborn, in Tucson, Arizona and Mary
(Cecil) Berno in Lakeside, Arizona.
