Our Father and Grandfather, better known as "Lum" to most in our community, joined our Mother in Heaven April 5, 2012. Howard is preceded in his passing by his wife, our mother and grandmother Margaret M. Edwards and his parents, our grandparents, Marion and Mildred Edwards. Howard is survived by his children, Mark Edwards (Jody), Joanne Hockenbury (Ted), Debbie Dollinger (John), Nancy Strickler (Jim) and Shane Edwards (Melissa); grandfather to six and Grandpa Great to four. Howard was a WWII Veteran who served in the United States Navy. His passion for cars, his perfection in his work and his ethic will never be surpassed, nor forgotten by any who knew him throughout the years. Thank you Dad for being exactly the way you were. We are better persons and parents because of you and Mom and the many lessons you taught us growing up, which continue in our lives as adults. Viewing will be Thursday, April 12, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and services will be held Friday, April 13, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY & CEMETERY, 5801 E. Grant Rd., Tucson, AZ 85712. A reception celebrating life will be immediately after at his residence of over 50 years.
