A resident of Tucson, AZ, for more than 40 years, Jack was a loving father, a ‘Granny’ to his beloved grandchildren, and a soldier for Christ.
Jack worked in the Southern Arizona copper mines for many years. Later, he worked as secretary at Enchanted Hills Baptist Church in Tucson for 15 years. Jack made five missionary trips to Kenya, Africa, where he worked to support a local orphanage and help build a church. A veteran of the Korean War, Jack served in the U.S. Air Force and earned the rank of Airman Second Class.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mildred Newlin; his sister, Marilyn (Newlin) Hatch; a brother, Billy Newlin; and two sons, Dean and Dale Newlin.
Survivors include: three daughters, Tami Newlin, Tucson, AZ, Diana (Newlin) Lamirand, Noblesville, IN, and Tina Adams, Tucson; three sons, Ken Newlin, Seattle, WA, David Newlin and Doug Newlin, both of Muncie, IN; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
