I think of Mr. Weger often and was so saddened to hear this news. This legendary dude was my highschool chemistry teacher at PUHS and one of our class sponsors. His patience was unmatched, and probably the only reason I learned anything in chemistry. I will remember many things about him fondly… like how he would tell us life stories and somehow relate it back to our lesson of the day, how excited he would get whenever I brought him pickles, how much he loved cats, and every living thing for that matter. He was a true gentleman and one of the kindest, purest souls I’ve ever crossed paths with. Everyone could stand to be a bit more like him. 
Rest peacefully Mr. Weger. You will be missed.

I was so blessed to have had you all live down the street from me on Maria Dr.  Great family.  I am so sorry that Jeff has passed away too soon.  Such a wonderful man who was kind and helpful, a good teacher, husband & dad.  And a friendly neighbor whom everyone who knew him felt blessed to know. I am so very sorry to hear about Jeff. Our family was blessed to have known him. Jeff was a co worker of mine and our boys teacher. He had a way of connecting with his students that left a positive impression.


I am terribly shocked and saddened over Jeff's passing.  I considered him a dear friend while he was at Salpointe, and even for a time after.  We had some wonderful times together.    My prayers and very deepest sympathy.  

Jeff was a caring and kind person. He was a excellent teacher and was always there to help students. He even saved the chickens during Senior prank day. My thoughts and prayers for all his family during this difficult times. Remember memories last forever.  Jim Flannery

I had the pleasure of working with Jeff at Orange Grove Middle School a few years ago. Jeff worked so hard to help his students. What a caring man. RIP

Jeff was kind and genuinely cared. When I returned back to work after my father passed, he sat with me in silence as I worked in the office. Somehow he knew that was what I needed at that moment. 

He always had a warm hello. He patiently listened and had numerous stories including his volunteer fire fighting. He enjoyed tinkering; I wonder what happened to the car that he was repairing. I remember how he liked brewing his own kombucha. He hung the bottle on one of the posts outside his classroom. 

My deepest condolences to the family. May Jeff's soul rest in peace.

Mr. Weger was my Physics teacher. I hated physics. But despite my frustration, he never belittled me or made me feel stupid for not grasping the concepts. In fact, he was patient and went out of his way to help me. You know how many teachers take that extra step? Not many. I will always remember Jeff Weger’s quirky intelligence and patience when dealing with me and the other teens, and God Bless him for not only putting up with us, but for teaching that physics could be fun and interesting. He was a good soul and I have always respected him. May he rest in peace. 

Jeff was a colleague at Salpointe Catholic.  He was always a delight to be around because of his quirky sense of humor, his love of his students and his passion for science.  Jeff was a true community member who treated everyone with dignity.

I remember Jeff for his upbeat attitude and also for some additional tree service he provided at my first house.   I think he was a part time lumberjack of sorts, and he had some wild triangulation with string going on to drop a tall tree that was surrounded by houses.  My neighbors were really nervous, but his calculations were perfect.   I offer my condolences to the family and also gratitude to Jeff, for his service in education.

My condolences, prayers and love to the Weger family. I had the pleasure of working with Jeff during his time at Salpointe. He was such a creative and caring teacher. It was always a joy for me to visit his class and spend time with him discussing our love of teaching. He was such a great role model for our role as being “good stewards of the earth”. Godspeed my friend.

So sorry for your loss. I took Mr. Weger's Physics class in '01-'02 and it was one of the hardest classes I took at SCHS, but it was my favorite. He didn't shy away from challenging us and his humor and style of teaching were the best. Even when reading my child Newtonian Physics for Babies I remember fondly my time in his class.

Mr. Weger was my freshman biology teacher at Salpointe. I remember his humor, and his passion for teaching. He ignited my love for learning and he always reminded me to question everything. I always appreciated having him as a teacher - and as a 4th grade teacher now, I love teaching my kids science - in large part due to him. Thank you Mr. Weger.
