

Jerry Sindeldecker was born in Zanesville Ohio on September 1, 1954. He was in the Army during the Vietnam war and was proud to be a veteran. He was a member of the American Legion and Legion Riders. Jerry also was active in the patriot guard. His favorite past time was riding his motorcycle, camping, fishing, and boating. He worked many different jobs throughout his career. He primarily worked in construction.
Jerry Sindeldecker was taken to heaven by his special angel on Wednesday August 6, 2025. He was 70 years old. He passed away at home, with his wife and Gizmo by his side. He fought a gallant fight with cancer, refusing help and persevered through his pain. Monday he performed his usual tasks, paying bills, spraying for ants and having a big cheeseburger before laying down for his usual nap. Tuesday he was very weak and only responded to pain. On Wednesday he passed away at noon after saying goodbye to his wife and puppy Gizmo.
He was preceded in death by his mother Lora Jane Winegardner and his older brother James Sindeldecker. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Susan Sindeldecker; his father James Sindeldecker; four sisters Renee Smart, Kerri Schneider, Lori Sindeldecker, and Aimee Vogann, and two brothers Nick and Paul Sindeldecker, their spouses and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his daughter Marcy McNeal, and three grandchildren, Katie McNeal, Ella Palmer and Zak. Zak’s wife Searria McNeal, and two great grandchildren, Kinsley and Alaina McNeal. Jerry’s son Eric Sindeldecker and grandson Payton Sindeldecker.
There will be a luncheon for remembering Jerry on August 23, 2025 from 10AM to 2 PM. There will also be a memorial for remembering Jerry in Ohio at the beginning of October. A memorial bench is planned to be erected at the Desert Museum by family. In lieu of flowers and donations, the family asks that donations be made to the charity of your choice in Jerry's name.
