

Jack was a devoted husband to his wife Rosemary Bebout-Calaway. He was also a caring step-father to Jodi (Bill) Bebout-Guffey and Dave (Kelly) Bebout and step-grandfather to Madilyn, Katelyn, Braden, David, and Maxwell. In addition, Jack was a faithful “fur-dad” to cats Tuffy and Dufus.
Jack was born on October 29, 1944 to Virgil and Eleanor Calaway in Ashtabula, Ohio. After graduating from Jefferson Area High School in 1962, he went on to study at Ohio University and Queens University of Charlotte.
After retirement from Barclays Bank, Jack went on to earn a degree in Accounting and continued his work life as a CPA in the Charlotte area.
Jack and Rose were married in 2012 and began a great adventure, living in Florida, South Carolina, Ohio, and Arizona, making good friends and memories along the way. They enjoyed traveling and spending precious time with family and friends whenever they were able.
Jack enjoyed genealogy and researching both his and Rose’s family lines. He also kept up on current events and shared his opinions, authoring many social media posts and letters to the editor. During football season, Jack was an avid and vocal fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Jack is survived by his wife Rose and their children and grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Judy Calaway-Knutsen, nephew Kevin (Pam) Butterfield and their children Carney, Sean, and Riley and niece Kindra (Scott) Williams and their children Aaron and Whitney.
