Joseph Raymond Lucero

Joe was born October, 27, 1942 in Amarillo, Texas. He was the eldest of four children born to parents Raymond and Corinne Lucero.

Joe left school in 1959 at 16 years old to join the US Army where he served four years with the 503rd Infantry, 82nd Airborne. Following his years of service, Joseph entered the professional field of Carpentry.

Joseph married Antoinette Joyce in 1970, during their 54 years of marriage, they raised 8 loving children.

In 2013, Joseph retired and spent his time caring for his wife, and continuing the enjoyment of endless barbeques and gatherings with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many loving family members. In more recent years, he found enjoyment in learning Tai Chi and dedicating time to the 82nd airborne with his comrades.

He is survived by six children, 17 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Joseph will be held Friday, September 6, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712, followed by a Funeral Service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and a Graveside Service from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at East Lawn Palms Cemetery.
