I used to see Joe at the Loas Transit center on so many occasions, carrying his guitar in case. We'd chat. I'd always ask about his brother, my old high school friend Raul. "Oh, he's doing this or doing that, or he's at home. He told me he played at Folklorico. And he played his guitar for me once. 
It was nice knowing Joe.

Joe, 
	You were a great brother to all of us! You were a great inspiration and idol to many people. You were a fighter who never gave up, even when faced with the most difficult challenges. When you had your accident, we were told that you wouldn't survive, but you did. Then we were told you wouldn't wake from the coma, but you did. And then, you were told you wouldn't walk again, but you did! You always showed perseverance and faith and followed your dreams and passions regardless of what others said. You were such a wonderful brother! 
	You loved to volunteer at the nursing homes. You would play the guitar, sing, and entertain everyone there. You loved your Peter Pipers, and I am so grateful that they made you feel so welcome. You had a love of animals, especially dogs! All the dogs you had were named Brownie, and when one would pass away you would get another one, and when we would ask, "Joe, what's his name?" you would say...Brownie. My kids remember the Christmases when they would sit and sing Christmas carols with you. You were a very generous person to everyone. 

You will always be in our hearts and memories, and we will miss you, but we will never forget you.

Where would i begain so many memories , i remember of  when i was young . But my memory that comes up all the time and i will never forget that day . It was your wedding night and you pulled into the side of the house late at night and  you sang mom and dad cerinata ha ha , think youd had a few to many .

Joe,
I can never deny the pain that I carry, but I would like us to remember him as a blessing and a lesson. I want to treasure the life he shared with us over the pain that his death has brought us. Rest in eternal peace dear brother. You will live on forever in our hearts. I miss you, Joe, our cherished moments together are all I have on my mind, your singing, your jokes, all the fun times growing up. The times you would get us all in trouble at Nana and Tata's ranch and you would walk away the innocent one.  We have great memories of you, It's hard to believe that you are gone. You are now singing in heaven!  Thank you for being such a wonderful uncle to my Children, Michelle, Priscilla, Felix Jr. and Emilio. Also, all my grandchildren they all loved you very much.
