Born May 9th, 1957 at Wolf Point, Montana to Melvin Richardson Hanson and Dorothy Mae Hanson. She is survived by her husband, Lionel Mark Jacobs IV (Pat Jacobs), and her two brothers, Kevin and Kent.
The Hanson family moved to Warren, Minnesota when she was a second grader. In high school she an all-around athlete and a band member in high school. After graduating from high school, she attended Minnesota State University Moorhead and received a Bachelor's degree in Social Work. Moving to Tucson, Arizona in 1979 after graduating from Moorhead. She met Pat and married the love of her life in 1989.
Entering a career as an adult Probation Officer in Pima County, Arizona where she served for twenty years. During her tenure Kim earned a Master’s Degree also in Social Work. After retiring, Kim and Pat created Lion-L kennel where they bred purebred Miniature Schnauzers producing over twenty-five AKC Champions during their breeding career. With three champions making appearances at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.
Being a highly competitive cyclist Kim entered and finished three El Tour De Tucson. Kim’s true passion was dog agility competition and obedience training, being awarded the first time Utility Dog (UD) title with an American-bred German Pinscher. She was awarded agility titles with many of their Miniature Schnauzers.

Kim and the family ask that you do not send flowers but donate to the University of Arizona Valley Fever Center for Excellence which is developing a vaccine for Valley fever.
