Kyong "Tae" Rice born October 23, 1933 in China, passed away on December 13, 2020 in her home in Tucson, AZ. She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Richard Marion Rice, her siblings Kun Tae Cheng and Ki Tae Kim (Po Soon), granddaughter Tammy Kim and many beloved nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son Steven Kim, sisters Young Tae Ki and Sandi Yi.
Tae had a passion for travel. Her passion led to many exotic places around the world. She visited Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Alaska, Spain, Costa Rica and took 12 cruises from different ports aboard the and in the U.S.
Tae was retired from the University of Arizona as an Administrator/ Faculty.
She was a life member in the following veteran organizations: Disabled American Veterans, Veteran's of Foreign Wars 4903, American Legion. She was a proud supporter of all veterans and active member of all of the local veterans clubs, supporting and participating in all of their functions and fundraising events.
Services for Tae are under the direction of Funeraria Del Angel South Lawn. Tae's inurnment will take place at South Lawn Cemetery 5401 S Park Ave Tucson, AZ 85706.
