

Lee Ann (Annie) Holbrook, 53, died April 25, 2016 at Banner University Medical Center, with her family close by. She was born February 7, 1963 in Tucson, AZ. Annie attended Pima Community College and helped to manage her family’s rental properties. Her dedication to family, especially her son, Andrew, was evident to all. A beautiful old soul, Annie was an artist in every sense of the word from an early age and very creative in her artful use of elements from the desert in her creations. She will always be remembered for her generous spirit and hospitality to everyone. Annie was a person deep in spirit and compassion and perseverance. Her devotion to the sanctity of nature, creation, all living beings, was moving and opened new vistas of God's abiding presence and grace.
Annie is survived by her son, Andrew Wayne (Paije) Gantt and grandson, Evan Rickie Gantt of Phoenix; father, Phillip Cheeseman and sister, Coni Weatherford of Tucson. She is also survived by many other loving family members and friends. Annie was predeceased by her mother, Beverlee Church Cheeseman in 2000, and her daughter, Tina Gantt in 1995. Annie and all of her family are especially grateful for the loving care and generosity of spirit shown by her spiritual family at GRACE ST. PAUL'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH, especially Rev. Nancy Meister Book, Rev. Steve Kelsey and Rev. Steve Keplinger. Into the Creator’s hands we commend Annie’s spirit. May Annie rest in eternal peace, risen in glory.
A celebration of her life and memorial service will be a Spirit Now style service on Thursday, May 12th, at 5:00 PM, followed by a reception in McBride Hall at GRACE ST. PAUL'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 2331 E. Adams St. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
