Leon Davis was the second of two children (sister Baslisa) born to Charlie and Ruthie Mae Davis on October 6, 1948 in Natchez, MS. At the age of four, the Davis’ moved to Phoenix, AZ where he attended elementary school and Phoenix Union High School. He attended Rio Salado for two years in the pursuit of being a youth counselor. Leo was a Vietnam vet who enlisted in the Navy in 1965.
Leo had three sons, Arree, Leo “Stevie” and Tambora “Tam”.
Leo married his friend, soul mate and lover, Michelle, in 1983 on the way to Las Vegas, NV at his wonderful sister Baslisa’s home, who put the wedding together in one day. Leo and Michelle would have been married thirty-four years on November 26th (their granddaughter’s birthday).
Leo joined Siloam Freewill Church (Siloam Christian Church) in 2011 where he sang in the men’s and church choir. He loved his church, was on the church board and was a very active member.
Leo was preceded in death by his father and mother, Charlie and Ruthie Davis.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Michelle; sons, Arree, Leo “Stevie” (Mary) and Tambora “Tam” (Nichole); sister, Baslisa (Theodra) Johnson; step-children, Derek and Joe Muldrow, Joey X (Allen X) Goree; grandchildren, Allaunie (Steve) Walker, Allen (Jasmine) Goree IV, Desiree Muldrow, Jonaye Muldrow, Amalia (Molly) Davis, Amaya Davis, Angelic Davis, Sydni Muldrow, Derek Williams, Olivia Muldrow and Quinn Muldrow; seven great grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, family and friends. Arrangements under the direction of Funeraria Del Angel, Tucson, AZ.
