Leroy Darby 1/30/1932 - 8/5/2011 Passed away suddenly on Friday August 5, 2011. Preceded in death by his parents, Jerry M. and Florence Presley Darby; brothers, Samuel Darby, Robert E Darby and Johnny "Will" Darby; sister, Malilla Porter. Survived by his sons, Jimmy Darby of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Tommy Darby of Lancaster, CA, Eric (Aretha) Darby of Palmdale, CA and daughter, Suzanne (Becky) of Los Angeles CA; sisters, Annie Lee Wafer of Tucson, AZ and Betty Jean Hicks of Saugus, CA; brothers, Johnny Walter (Minnie Bell) Darby, George Darby of Garland, AL, Alvin J. (Pauline) Darby of Prattville, AL; 13 grandchildren, six great- grandchildren and his special angel Shirley Wilson and his Arizona family and a host of other relatives and friends. He was a faithful member of Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church, member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 1713, and he served in the US Army during the Korean War. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 12, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at FUNERARIA DEL ANGEL SOUTH LAWN, 5401 S. Park Ave., Tucson, AZ 85706. A celebration of his life will be held at Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
